Getting started with Hublead for Salesforce

 

To start using Hublead with Salesforce, you should install the Hublead Chrome extension and connect it to your Salesforce org. The exact steps depend on two things: whether you're a Salesforce admin, and whether Hublead is already installed in your Salesforce org.

Find your situation below and follow that path.

• I'm a Salesforce admin → you'll install the Hublead package in your org (about 5 minutes), then invite your team.
• I'm a team member (not an admin) → you'll connect in a few clicks, or ask your admin to install first.

If you're a Salesforce admin

As an admin, you install the Hublead package in your Salesforce org once. It takes about 5 minutes, and after that your teammates can connect in just a few clicks.

There are two ways you'll get here: you're the first on your team to set it up, or a teammate asked you to install it. The steps are the same either way.

You're the first on your team to install Hublead

1. Install the Hublead Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Open Hublead. When it asks "Is Hublead installed in your Salesforce?", click "No, install it first."
3. Choose how to install the package in Salesforce: Install for All Users (recommended), Install for Admins Only, or Install for Specific Profiles.
4. Set up field mapping for your team and decide which Hublead and LinkedIn fields map to which Salesforce fields.
5. Set field access and permissions so your team can read and write the mapped fields.
6. Invite your team to install the app.

That's it, Hublead is installed in your Salesforce org. Let your team know, and start using it right away.

A teammate asked you to install Hublead

If someone on your team tried to connect before the package was installed, you'll receive an email requesting access.

1. Open the email and follow the link to install the Hublead Chrome extension.
2. Choose how to install the package in Salesforce: Install for All Users (recommended), Install for Admins Only, or Install for Specific Profiles.
3. Set up field mapping for your team.
4. Set field access and permissions.
5. Invite your team to install the app.

Hublead is now installed for your org : your teammate, and everyone else, can connect.

If you're a team member (not an admin)

Your setup depends on whether your admin has already installed Hublead in your Salesforce org.

Hublead is already installed in your org

This is the quick path:

1. Install the Hublead Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Open Hublead. When it asks "Is Hublead installed in your Salesforce?", click "Yes, connect Salesforce."

You're all set and ready to start selling.

Hublead isn't installed yet

Your admin needs to install Hublead in your Salesforce org first. Hublead makes it easy to send them the request.

1. Install the Hublead Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Open Hublead. When it asks "Is Hublead installed in your Salesforce?", click "No, install it first."
3. Send the request to your admin, in whichever way is easiest:
• Enter your first and last name and your admin's email. Hublead notifies your admin of your request, this also keeps the connection secure.
• Or copy the request link and send it to your admin yourself.
4. Wait for your admin to install Hublead in your org.
5. Once it's installed, go back to Hublead and click "Yes, connect Salesforce."

You're all set and ready to start selling.
