How can I cancel my Hublead subscription and disable automatic renewal?
How Admin users or billing contacts can cancel a Hublead subscription
Summary
Hublead subscriptions are self-managed and can be cancelled by an Admin user from the Hublead portal. If you no longer have access to HubSpot or Hublead, you can still cancel through the Stripe billing portal using the billing email associated with your account. Once cancelled, automatic renewal is disabled and no future renewal payments should be attempted.
Description and steps to resolve the issue
Hublead subscriptions are managed directly by each customer through the Hublead portal or, when portal access is no longer available, through the Stripe billing portal.
This means customers are responsible for managing, updating, or cancelling their own subscription.
To cancel a Hublead subscription from the Hublead portal, the user performing the cancellation must have the Admin role in the organization.
If you are not an Admin, you will need to either:
- Contact an Admin in your organization and ask them to cancel the subscription, or
- Ask an Admin to invite you to the Hublead portal and assign you the Admin role so you can manage the subscription yourself.
If you no longer have access to your HubSpot or Hublead account, you can use the direct Stripe billing portal instead, as mentioned on option 3 below.
The cancellation process should only take a few minutes.
Option 1: Cancel from the Plans page
- Go to app.hublead.io.
- Open Settings → Plans.
- Click Manage Subscription.
- In the Stripe portal, select Cancel plan.
- Confirm the cancellation.
Option 2: Cancel from the Billing page
- Go to app.hublead.io.
- Open Settings → Billing.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation.
Option 3: Cancel directly from the Stripe billing portal
Use this option if you no longer have access to your HubSpot or Hublead account.
- Go to Billing Stripe Portal.
- Enter the email address configured as the billing email for your Hublead account.
- Access the Stripe billing portal.
- Cancel the subscription and confirm the cancellation.
Important note about failed payments or suspended subscriptions
If your subscription is temporarily suspended because a payment could not be processed, another payment attempt may still be scheduled.
To prevent the payment from being retried, the subscription must be cancelled before the next scheduled payment attempt.
This can be done by:
- An Admin user through the Hublead portal, or
- The billing contact through the direct Stripe billing portal using the billing email associated with the account.
What happens after cancellation?
Once the subscription is successfully cancelled:
- The subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
- Automatic renewal is disabled.
- Future renewal payments should no longer be attempted.
- No further action is required unless you need additional support.
If you experience any issues during the cancellation process, contact Hublead support and include the details of the problem you are seeing.
